Airedales are very smart dogs. They will always question your commands. It's like, if you ask them to do something, they will think to themselves: "Why I would want to do that?"   "Is this smart?"

Also they are very, VERY curious. They   L O V E   to  bite any other kind of life whether its a chicken, a squirrel, a Cat, you name it. Its not that they are being aggressive. They want to feel the texture and since they have no hands like humans, they use their tongue, teeth, nose to feel everything.

Airedales are the sweetest companion dogs. Super social. They don't like to be left alone, nor spend hours on a leash in your front door. Instead they want to be part of whatever your day is taking you.

​What to look for in an Airedale?

The AKC standard will guarantee you an Airedale with awesome physique characteristics, turning into an exquisite beautiful dog. For example, it is crucial to develop a very communicative face expression. The whole body has to be very well balanced. The coat density, hair thickness and colors must be according to the AKC standard.

There are many, MANY Airedale Terriers everywhere whit a lot of flaws and lacking these characteristics. Some even lack a sweet, cute face expression and instead have an angry expression.

Oorang Airedale Terriers ? ?

The term "Oorang Airedale Terriers" is becoming popular on the web defined as "larger size Airedales". Is this a beautiful, balanced body Airedale Terrier but in a larger size? Not necessarily. May times you see  an Airedale with so elongated torso it actually curves down, big round eyes, big wide skull,  longer nose, short legs and a chest lacking depth.
